Twenty-seven years ago The Wallflower Flower and Gift Boutique was launched at the Wilmington Flower Market and continued to offer handcrafted and unique gifts & florals for 20 years in Lantana Square Shopping Center and The Greenbank Mill Artisan’s Showcase. In 2009 owner/operator/artist, Sue Ann Cox, closed her doors to take another avenue in her career. Artistic breaks are common and there is inevitably a second act.
Sue Ann’s second act will be launched once again at the Wilmington Flower Market 2016. Hand sculpted ceramic fairy houses are the newest creation of Sue Ann’s, aka The Fairy Potter. Fairy houses are a standard in Northern European folk lore and are gaining popularity in the world of themed garden whimsy. Enchanted one-of-a-kind pixie properties will be introduced to Wilmington’s Gardening Elite at this year’s Flower Market. For Sue, it is akin to a homecoming, having participated in the market for 20 plus years.
Joining Sue will be Estelle Lukoff, one of Wilmington’s premiere jewelry artists. Also a past Wilmington Flower Market participant.
“Once upon an Enchanted Evening, Fairies Dance and made wishes come true…” Sue Ann Cox
